Hi Mandy Have you downloaded http://www.ryawm.co.uk/Childrens%20Games.pdf This is on the west midlands web site under the Library Page. Another game i have seen is for circa 20 or so bottles to be set adrift each with a set of letters within them. This number depends on how many children / boats are taking part. The children collect the bottles and then see how many sailing orientated words they can create with the letters - a sort of anagram if you like. Perhaps it can be a race to see who can collect enough letters to make 1 sailing word and each bottle has only 1 or 2 letters in it. To really slow them down they can only collect 1 bottle at a time. If you have plastic boats and lots of room blindfold the helm and make the crew talk them through it. (obviously only do this in Force 0 - 1). I'm sure other people will add their ideas. Stuart | |||
